This morning we began by watching The Cat in The Hat video. The kids were excited to receive their very own hats! I picked these up from Michaels but they are also available through ReallyGoodStuff.com if you want to order some now for next year or another occasion!
They had library time this morning where they enjoyed listening to the story of The Cat in the Hat! They were so proud to show off their hats.
During snack, we read Green Eggs and Ham.
We used Cara Carroll's ideas from her March Madness Unit to create our own rhymes (well... some of them rhyme!) and a pretend plate of green eggs!
Then we ate our own version of green eggs and ham!
(made with cool whip and lime sherbet)
Finally, in the afternoon we squeezed in a Seusstastic art project. I cut out a few templates that the kid's traced to piece together their own Cat in the Hat!
How about those dotted letters? :)
